TRANSFORMING TEACHER'S PERSONALITY THROUGH DE PROGRAM

    Implementation of DE program in schools has touched lives of millions of students across the country, promoting conceptual understanding, eagerness to learn new things. It has not only motivated the teachers to play the role of a facilitator but has also motivated the students to think beyond the four walls of classroom. 

DE program has not only influenced the lives of students but has also made a difference in enhancing the overall personality of the teachers too. The teachers experienced professional as well as personal growth. Mrs. Manjinder Kaur, a math’s teacher in GSSS Jhansla joined DE program 5 years back. She implemented DE program so well in the class.After undergoing trainings by AIF trainers, she was very much motivated.She prepared a Math’s model with the integration of technology. She came up with many innovative ideas for making Math’s learning more interesting. For an instance, she prepared a Math’s newspaper listing all the formulas. She used to bring the paper in the class and asks students to identify certain formula with implementation.  Students’ results improved after this implementation. Mrs. Kaur has also won the Best innovation award.
